18 June 2009: Demo Teaching (Yeosu Pupils)

Demonstration Teaching re: Republic of the Philippines. Korean 5th Grade pupils were very challenging I was forced to apply my classroom management and teaching strategies . The class was composed of 15 pupils from Yeosu Elementary School. Thanks to Mr. Yang for assisting me in translating some English words to Hangurul. Kudos Maestro!

17 June 2009 Tour: BO SEONG GREEN TEA PLANTATION



Green Tea plantation at Bo Seong, JeollaNamdo. The first plantation in S. Korea and it was started by the Japanese during their occupation of the country. Tall Cypress (Cryptomeria Japonica) trees are planted on the sorroundings.

17 June 2009 Tour: NAGANEUPSEONG



Within the fortress perimeter of 1,410m remains a well-preserved Choson Dynasty government buildings, nine tradtional residences designated as important folklore material and other old houses; people residing in this place still carry on the traditional custom and manners. With its relics and unique living heritage, the place gives visitiors a direct look at Korea's history and traditional ways of life, customs and manners and folk events.

17 June 2009 Tour: SEONAMSA TEMPLE


Seonamsa Temple of ChoGyesan. The Head Temple of Taego Sect of Buddhism. The temples has more than 1,000 years of history. It is one of the major temples in Korea that is unique and preserved well. These temples were built during the Shilla dynasty (514-540 AD). The arched Seungseon-gyo Bridge built over the winding stream leads you to the courtyard of Seonamsa. The place is the birthplace of Taegojong sect flourished by the priest Doseon at the end of Shilla, the temple preserves many precious relics.
